The latest Marvel Barside Buzz is that Anya Taylor-Joy is reportedly being eyed for a villain role in Fantastic Four. Which villain is not stated, but I think we can be pretty sure it is neither Galactus, nor Doctor Doom. We can make some deductions though. First off this rumors comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon. What he’s heard is basically the title, however there have been other rumors. If we connect the rumors up, we may have an idea.
If you recall the related story linked below, there was a rumor from Jeff Sneider that Galactus Herald, which may or may not be Silver Surfer, would be female. My guess is that Silver Surfer won’t yet be Galactus’ Herald. The world eater has had many Heralds and some have been female. That being said, I’m also not completely against the idea of a female Norin Rad. All you’d really need to do is gender swap his/her love interest. Actually, I guess you don’t even need to do that as we live in a different world now.

A previous rumor we covered Here said Galactus Herald in the movie would be Terrax. Though, that was some time ago and the script has changed. Terrax was male in the comics, but a far less well known character compared to Surfer.
How they are going to pull off a Fantastic Four story that’s both their origin and also introduce Galactus, Doom and two different Heralds? I’m not sure. That’s also without doing the Surfer story already covered in Rise of the Silver Surfer. Unless they are doing this and Taylor-Joy is being eyed for Norin Rad? I have no idea at this point, it’s all speculation until we know more.
I just hope this one works for Marvel. My top superheroes as a kid were Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk and then Fantastic Four. Much is want more from all four, it’s always been the Fantastic Four I feel no one has done well yet. Hope that is about to change.
