Aquaman: James Wan Gives Us Tease Of Trailer Ahead Of Comic-Con

Just how damn thrilled are you that San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner? That’s right. It’s the Christmas of pop culture — the time when big movie and TV announcements are revealed to the masses in hopes of garnering huge buzz for the films to come in the next year or so. While Disney has slowly let the air out of this event by pulling their own projects every other year or so, there is one superhero titan out there who still shows off big stuff each year: Warner Bros.

This year promises to be no different for the DC owner. While there, they’re expected to show off footage from Aquaman, Shazam, and Wonder Woman 1984 — though with Aquaman being the closest, it’s the only one where we’ll be getting a full, polished trailer. I’d like to say that we have the trailer ready to go, but that’s okay. We’re only a few short days away from seeing it…but director James Wan didn’t let us get away with seeing nothing.

Taking to Twitter, the filmmaker posted a sweet photo showing the trailer in the editing bay. Check it.

The pressure is real, Wan! Looks like he’s really cutting it close to the wire to make this trailer happen for us — and I have to say, that image is quite the iconic one, and embodies most of what I find cool about the character. Just slap Jason Momoa alongside some of the scariest damn animals in the ocean, and you already have me convinced he’s a superhero (because the ocean is the devil and should be feared and respected).
