Are These New Set Photos From Avengers 4 Or Captain Marvel?

A batch of new Marvel Studios set photos have surfaced on the web, but the only problem is that it’s not exactly clear just which film they’re from.

The photos in question feature Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, who haven’t shared the screen in the MCU since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Quite noticeably, in some of the photos, Jackson isn’t sporting his trademark eyepatch.

However, thanks to his facial scarring, it can pretty much be ruled out that this is a flashback of sorts (they can always go in and digitally recolor the eye so that it looks as it did in The Winter Soldier). So what are we looking at here? Is this a confirmation that this image is from Avengers 4? One would think, but not quite.

Our friends over at MCU Exchange point to tweets that say that the license plates on the vehicles are Georgia, not New York. However, we have no idea how big the scope of this film is, so that really tells us nothing. What could tell us something is that there are claims that Captain Marvel director Ryan Fleck is on set.

This would jive with reports from the outlet that state a week’s worth of footage would be shot this month, and will continue in March, and now it’s just a question of how this will be incorporated into the main plot.

Atlanta Filming, a Twitter account that has long been a source of set photos thinks that all these confusing photos can be intentional misleads from Marvel, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Which film do you think these photos are from, and why? Let us know down below!
