According to the latest listing on Production List, Armor Wars begins filming this April. The movie which used to be a Disney+ series has gone through some development issues delaying and holding it back. Finally the decision was made to make Armor Wars a movie and we knew things were moving ahead soon. Now we know when the movie films.
The source has Armor Wars listed as beginning in April and lasting until August of this year. Currently we don’t have a solid release date for Armor Wars but we can assume it will hit theatres some time in 2024.
As for the plot of the movie we really don’t know? The comics of the same name centered around stolen Stark tech falling into the wrong hands. Of course there is no Tony Stark in the MCU, but his legacy lives on, especially in War Machine. The movie will star Don Cheadle as War Machine/Rhodey, and rumors suggest that Riri Williams (Ironheart) could be involved in some way. Chances are, this movie will connect into the likes of Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts, as it seems to follow a familiar trajectory to what we know about those movies. However that is all guesswork for now.

So far the only real rumors have been around a claim that Damage Control will be a key element of the movie. You can read up on those rumors Here.
Now that we know filming happens soon, we should start to get a few more details. Casting will be underway and we should start to find out who will turn up in the movie alongside Cheadle. Plus, once filming gets underway we should get the usual slew of rumored plot points. Until then, it’s a clean slate.
