Over the past several weeks, photos have been leaking out from the set of Avengers 4. These came in the form of paparazzi photos as well as Instagram/Twitters posts from talent celebrating their final days on set. From those photos, one thing has become clear: the film will likely have either flashback or time travel elements heavily strewn about.

The evidence for this potentially continues to reveal itself in the latest photo (at least initially), courtesy of JustJared. In the photo below (along with the batch of photos on the site itself), you can see Chris Evans’ Captain America in a familiar, star-spangled suit that he wore in the first Avengers film.

But is this actually a flashback? TMZ seems to think this would hint at the fact that Cap will actually die at some point, and the only screen time he’d get would be in this flashback form.

We may beg to differ. While, at a glance, things seem to point to this being a flashback, there is one key thing that makes that impossible: Ant-Man.

In one of the photos, you can see Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) in the photo, and last we checked, Lang had no place in that first Avengers film. More than likely, some events in the film lead to Cap having to pull a Winter Soldier, and revert to an earlier suit. Does this mean Cap will survive in the film? Not at all. But we’re not sure this shot is evidence of his death.
