Do you really care about Prince Namor? Is the Sub-Mariner really that important to you? If so, I have heartbreaking news for you. In Avengers: Endgame there is a scene where Black Widow is talking to Okoye about an underwater earthquake. Many fans felt this was an easter egg relating to The Submariner, Prince Namor. Many fans felt this was the beginning of the introduction of mutants and the prince of Atlantis, but those fans will be disappointed in what the writers of Endgame have to say:
“I wish we were that smart.”
That’s right, that line was not an easter egg involving Namor. Many people have been hoping for a Namor reference in the MCU for years, especially if that plays into the idea of the MCU version of the Illuminati. However, it seems we’ll be waiting a bit longer for that.
