I’ll admit it. I’m one of those people who laughs at others who are constantly chomping at the bit to hop online as soon as tickets go on sale for a movie. I mean, this is 2019. There are usually enough theaters to go around and with Thursday screenings, generally plenty of time to lock down your tickets in advance. Even with the advent of reserved seating, you can generally find a last-minute way to get your blockbuster fix in before the weekend ends. But things may be a bit different with Avengers: Endgame.
According to Fandango, in its first seven days of presales, Endgame has already sold FIVE TIMES as many tickets Avengers: Infinity War did in the same period. We’re talking about a movie that took in $257.7 million in North American in its opening weekend and went on to gross over $2 billion worldwide. It’s doing five times better than that. Here are some other achievements listed by the service itself.

– Thousands of showtimes are already sold-out across the country.
– Fandango’s exhibition partners are continually posting new showtimes (some as early as 4:00 am and 6:30 am Friday, April 26) and adding new screens on Fandango to meet the fan demand. Despite the sellouts, Endgame tickets are still available at theaters through opening weekend on Fandango.
– Endgame now holds the record for Fandango’s best first week and first day of presales, eclipsing Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
– On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Avengers: Endgame was the top daily ticket-seller on Fandango, outselling every film currently in release, even though the film doesn’t open for another sixteen days.
So yeah, it’s clear that this movie is doing well. So if you have yet to lock down your ticket…you should probably do so if you hope to get a good seat in the opening weekend. Even someone like me caved on opening day. Did you get your tickets yet? Have you become but another statistic? Let us know down below!
