Avengers: Infinity War – Behind-The-Scenes Video Shows The CGI Breakdown Of One Of The Films Sadder Scenes

While Avengers: Infinity War was chocked full of moments that choked fans up, none was harder to watch than that of the scene where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man turns to ash and floats away. Pleading with Tony Stark, the young hero fell victim to Thanos now-infamous snap. In the video just above, you can check out the special effects that went into the scene.

I’ve always been interested in behind-the-scenes videos such as this. I like to see how scenes come together and what exactly went into the making of a scene. While the video is short, you can see that Holland’s suit was CGI and he was entirely replaced with CGI in the moments before he faded away.

Spider-Man likely received the worst of the snap because due to his enhanced abilities, he was able to sense what was going to happen before the other heroes who disappeared. Not only one of the saddest scenes in Avengers: Infinity War, but arguably the saddest moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date.

We’ve heard again and again that the deaths in Infinity War were real, we’ll have to wait until Avengers 4 to see how permanent they actually are.
