If you are one of those fans who could use a bit more Thanos in your life, you may be in store for just that. According to Collider, Marvel may be re-integrating 30 minutes of Thanos’ backstory into the DVD/Blu-Ray release of Avengers: Infinity War. Collider is reporting that this news comes straight from the creator of Thanos, Jim Starlin, who the outlet spoke to this weekend at the Las Vegas Comic-Con.

Apparently, the footage was supposed to be in the film, but it had to be cut due to time constraints. If the footage is put back into Avengers: Infinity War, the content would become part of a longer, extended cut, which would likely be over three hours. Now if this information turns out to be legit, the extended cut could come in August with the initial home release of the film, it is also possible that it could be released separately, at a later time.
Even though this news comes from Thanos’ creator, this information should still be taken as a rumor, nothing is official until Marvel confirms it. Personally, I hope this news turns out to be true, while we did get a glimpse of Thanos’ history it would be nice to see some more.
