It seems unsurprisingly that Axe Woves will return in The Mandalorian Season 3. Woves (pictured above on the left) appeared in Season 2 working with Bo-Katan Kryze, but was absent from the Season Finale. When asked why Woves wasn’t there, Bo-Katan actress Katee Sackhoff simply said he was elsewhere and she couldn’t talk about that, The actor who played Woves, Simon Kassianides, responded to fans on Instagram asking why Woves wasn’t in the finale saying,
“There will be answers. This is the way”.
Woves wasn’t yet a major role in any way. It was therefore never a guarantee that Kassianides would be back for Season 3. After all, Sasha Banks has said she is not returning as Koska Reeves in Season 3. However Bespin Bulletin has been doing some observations on a location shoot for Mando S3 recently. The outlet says Kassianides was on set. They do have images on their own site, check them in the link. However, I would say the images are a little too far away to visually confirm Kassianides.
I however trust BB when they say they have confirmation visually and from a source that Kassianides was on set and with Sackhoff and ‘Din Djarin’. I use the character name, because it was likely not Pascal underneath the helmet.

This is hardly massive news, but even a simple confirmation like this is still news to Star Wars fans. It definitely appears like Axe Woves will return in The Mandalorian Season 3. Though going by all the leaks we have had so far, it seems there will be a lot of Mandalorians this time around.
