These reality talent shows can only have one winner. Oftentimes, too many contestants are left back into obscurity once the curtain is down. In the comedy American Reject, one contestant’s reality sinks in after she returns home for a new reality television program.
The film stars Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone, Frank Monteleone, Mary Birdson, Keala Settle, Angelica Hale, Annaleigh Ashford, Connie Ray, Rebecca Black, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Juvenile. Marlo Hunter directed the movie from the script written by Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone.

Reality television shows are the entertainment of audiences seeking success, but also the stories of failures. American Reject makes fun of this television genre by reminding the masses that thousands of people competed and only to return back to their normal lives after the adrenaline moment.
By the trailer, the film has plenty of heart with a woman seeking self-discovery that fame doesn’t necessarily translate into happiness—but the people she makes an impact in her life.
American Reject releases on April 12 digitally and On Demand.
