Bad Times at the El Royale is one of those close-quarters mysteries that will see an ensemble cast go at it over the course of a couple hours. Of course, as with any good film, you’d expect them to give you all you need to know about the characters in the runtime of the movie, but if you’re not quite sold yet and want to get a peek into the deranged heads of these hotel guests, Fox has you covered.

In a new featurette released by the studio, we get just a little bit more about each character — generally, anything ranging from a sentence to a few about who these people are, including Father Flynn, Laramie Sullivan, Darlene, Rose, Miles Miller, Billy Lee, and Emily. Of course, each of these characters has their dark and seedy pasts that are sure to come into play in the film.

“Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell. Jeff Bridges, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Hamm, Dakota Johnson and Cynthia Erivo lead an all-star cast in BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE.”

Bad Times at the El Royale hits theaters on October 12, 2018.
