Batman: Soul of the Dragon Clips

For me, Batman Elseworld stories are a lot of fun. Lucky for me there is a market for them as we have seen a lot of them leap from the pages of comics books and into animated films. Some of them include The Killing Joke (well, it originally was one), Batman Ninja, and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight to name a few. It entertaining to see what the Dark Knight would do in very unique situations at different times.

In two weeks we will see a new Batman film from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment titled, Batman: Soul of the Dragon. In this all-new original animated film, we see Batman in the midst of the swinging 1970s. He must face a deadly menace from his past. To do that, he and his mentor O-Sensei must look for the help of three of his former classmates. They are world-renowned martial artist Richard Dragon, Ben Turner, and Lady Shiva.

Batman: Soul of the Dragon includes the voice talents of James Hong, David Giuntoli, Kelly Hu, Michael Jai White, and Mark Dacascos. It is directed and produced by Sam Liu. Based on a script written by Jeremy Adams. Producers are Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau. Executive producers are Michael Uslan, Bruce Timm, and Sam Register.

Ahead of the release of the animated film, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a couple of clips to get us ready for the feature. The first features Bruce Wayne making the difficult journey to find O-Sensei and his mysterious martial arts school.

The second and more recent clip released features O-Sensei. He introduces Bruce, Shiva, Ben, and Richard, his exclusive group of students, to the all-powerful Soul Breaker. A sword with the potential to tear a hole in time and space.

This film looks like it’s going to be very entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing the action sequences. What did you think of the clips above? Let us know in the comment section below!

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Batman: Soul of the Dragon arrives January 12th, 2021 on Digital and January 26th, 2021 on 4K Combo Pack & Blu-ray.
