A quick recap of what we’ve learned about the DCEU this week. The Snyder Cut is real, or at least, it will be and will air next year on HBO Max. Since the big announcement, Ben Affleck and his fellow Justice League cast members have been showing their support for Snyder and thanking fans for their contributions to the movement.
Batfleck himself, Ben Affleck gave his thoughts about the whole Snyder Cut situation by sending a video to Kevin Smith’s Fatman on Batman podcast. You can check it out below.

I really enjoyed the Batfleck. I like this more comic-booky and gadgety version of the character and thought Affleck did fine as Bruce Wayne. And as some of you may know that’s how the role is said to be filled, by casting Bruce Wayne, not Batman.
I wonder if this unprecedented jump from big-screen to stream-screen will catch on? Perhaps franchises in the future will release a film, and then a short season, 6-8 episodes or so continuing the story, and from there head back to cinemas. It’s interesting to think about.
As I’ve said before, I’ve always been a fan of Snyder’s visuals. I am not a fan of his sense of pacing, at least not in Batman v. Super: Dawn of Justice (was never big on that title either). Never again do I want to be 2.5 hours into a three-hour superhero flick and be yet to see some prolonged action and the superheroes actually get a good fight in.
