Better Call Saul has been like watching a slow, beautiful train wreck — a train wreck where we care deeply about all the passengers and worry about their respective fates. Sure, we know where Jimmy ends up (kind of), but what about the majority of the rest of the supporting cast? Just where will this dark and meditative journey take us? It’s a question we’ve had since day one of the series.

The end of Season 4 saw Jimmy finally decide to take on the moniker of Saul Goodman for his law practice, and if the trailers are any indication, Season 5 will see him spiral down that rabbit hole indefinitely. His relationship with Kim is bound to hit some more turbulence as he slowly turns into a man she can no longer love or respect.

Of course, he isn’t the only one facing some mad problems. Mike is dealing with his Gus Fring hired gun deal, Gus is dealing with the Salamancas, and Nacho is smack dab in the middle. The past couple of seasons saw these plot lines play out largely separately from one another, but the filmmakers tease Season 5 bring it all together more.

Things only seem to be getting darker for all parties involved, and I can’t wait to see how it all culminates and collides with the plot of Breaking Bad. More importantly, however, I’m anxious to see how they close out Jimmy’s arc for the series as a whole in Season 6, which has been confirmed to the final season of the show.
