Birds Of Prey Star Mary Elizabeth Winstead On What A Scott Pilgrim Sequel Could Be

It’s been nearly a decade since Scott Pilgrim vs the World hit theaters. It may have flopped at the time, but it was also critically well-received and liked by fans who did bother to see it. Of course, due to its floppy nature, a sequel never came about, but given all the time that’s passed, a follow-up film is something I can see a studio actually following through with under the right circumstances.

But what would they do? Well, fret not, because one of the original film’s stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead has some thoughts. While promoting Birds of Prey, she shared some ideas.

“You know what, I think that would be so cool. I would be so curious to know what happened to these characters when they’re in their mid-30s as opposed to the sort of 20 slacker thing,” Winstead told ComicBook.com. “So I think it would be really interesting. We always talked about a sequel when we were doing it, but we always imagined it would be like, still like a year later. Where are they? But I think it’s way more fascinating to know where they’d be 10 years later. I’m down for it.”

But what about you? Many fans apparently weren’t down for the initial film, so would you want an actual sequel? And, of course, there’s the other big problem that there would be no source material to pull from. Let us know your thoughts down below!
