If you’re not watching Better Call Saul, you’re missing some of the best character-centric television going on right now (no joke, I’d go so far as to say it’s a stronger series than Breaking Bad). The show is entering its fourth season at AMC, and if you’re a fan of the show, chances are it’s been a while since you watched the climax of Season 3, so naturally, you’ll need a recap.
Vanity Fair has your back, and they’ve assembled the core cast of the coming season, bringing together Bob Odenkirk, Patrick Fabian, Rhea Seehorn, Michael Mando, and Giancarlo Esposito to walk us through the events of the past three seasons. Like many shows currently running on TV, Better Call Saul really builds on its past, so a recap like this is crucial to making sure you understand where all the motivations come from for our leads.

This past season came with quite a bittersweet ending. Jimmy was able to avoid getting disbarred following his confession of tampering with the files for one of HHM’s clients, and his brother Chuck didn’t take things so well. After suffering another mild freakout, he knocked over the gas lamp and burned down his house.
Season 4 will see the main cast dealing (or not dealing) with Chuck’s death, and will bring Jimmy that much closer to becoming the Saul Goodman we love from Breaking Bad.
After watching this recap you can head over to AMC’s official site and check out the first episode of Season 4!
Better Call Saul airs Mondays at 9pm on AMC.
