Jimmy McGill may be a good man at heart, but he’s not above allowing himself to fall victim to his own strengths. At the end of the day, he’s a showman — a hard worker who allows himself to get carried away in even his most dangerous of schemes. Up until recently, he’s almost always found his way back to a moral center, but as he dives deeper into the Saul Goodman mindset, we will likely see that less and less.

We are now nearing the fifth season, which is set to premiere on February 23, 2020, and in a new Better Call Saul teaser from TV Insider, we see him grow ever closer to that persona we’ve grown accustomed to.

According to the outlet, Jimmy is officially going by the Saul Goodman moniker, and that this decision will have a “profound effect” on those around him. Of course, we all know this is a story that is careening toward Eugene from Omaha, but that doesn’t stop each season from being even more engaging than the last.

In a rare feat, Better Call Saul manages to shake off the shackles of Breaking Bad and become its own unique series that’s strong in its own right, and I can’t wait to see where it all ends up.
