Bill And Ted Face The Music Run-time Hinted At By Director

It won’t be long now until many of us are sitting in a theater watching the final chapter of Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan. Yeah, it’s going to be one of those nostalgically surreal moments where what you’re watching doesn’t register for a little while, but then your brain finally accepts what it’s seeing.

As most of you know, “The Internet’s Boyfriend,” Keanu Reeves, and Alex Winter are both returning as the titular characters in Bill and Ted Face the Music, the final chapter of the Bill and Ted saga. This time around, the middle-aged metalheads’ have high hopes of finally fulfilling their destiny by bringing peace and harmony to the world through their music.

Director Dean Parisot recently spoke with Empire, and during the chat, he sort of gave us an unofficial runtime. I’ll let it be a surprise you can read below, but for me, it sounds just about the right length for the film.

“We’ve gone from a homework assignment to saving all space and time. We bypassed all those possible traumas in the middle. They have an hour and 18 minutes. So they’re in trouble. And let’s say that they have to travel all over the place to try and figure it out.”

A huge bummer that George Carlin, who played dim-witted duo’s time-travel mentor is no longer with us. I’d say it’s a safe bet that somewhere in the film, there will be a tribute to him. I honestly don’t see how they could not do this. Fans of the series haven’t seen tubular time travelers for almost three decades, and an end to their most excellent story is long overdue.
