Black Adam RT Score Isn’t Fresh As Critic Reviews Hit

The Black Adam RT score isn't fresh as critic reviews hit over the last 24 hours. Guess never trust social media reactions.

Well, you never trust the social media reactions until the real reviews kick in. And folks, the Black Adam RT score isn’t fresh as critic reviews hit over the last 24 hours. The review embargo has lifted and it seems Black Adam wasn’t exactly a hit with most critics.

There are currently 63 reviews on RT for the movie and the score is currently at 53%. That means it’s currently on Rotten status for the moment. Now, 63 is not a huge number, and we’ve definitely seen trends shift a little once we double or treble that figure. However without review bombing from the audience side I’ve never seen a shift that would make a dent in that percentage. Even if the majority of new reviews are positive it will only shift the percentages up 10-15% at most. That’s merely my opinion based on trends for other movies.

So does this mean that Black Adam is a disaster and a flop? Not by a long shot. Not every movie that does well with audiences does well with critics and vice versa. The key for me will be when the audience scores start to come in, and with those it takes weeks in my opinion to start to build an accurate picture, perhaps longer if interest isn’t there.

Ultimately WB/D won’t care about critical acclaim for the movie as long as it finds a home in audiences hearts. Let’s face it, there’s a lot of critically lauded movies that made nothing and vice versa. Below are some links to several reviews which are included in the overall score above. These are just a few random ones I grabbed with differences of opinion between them. The most positive is from Collider who gave it a B, the rest go down from there in particular order.
