Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Cinematographer Revealed

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Atlantis Plot Confirmed?

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cinematographer is Autumn Durald according to a report by Discussing Film. Durald will replace Ryan Coogler’s long-time collaborator Rachel Morrison who shot the first film. If you want an idea of Durald can do, then look no further than Loki. Durald shot all six episodes of the current MCU show and it does look pretty.

I have to say other than the aforementioned Loki, I have not seen any of the other movies Durald has shot as yet. Maybe you have though? Durald’s other cinematography credits include Emma Forrest’s Untogether, Max Minghella’s Teen Spirit, and Ry Russo-Young’s The Sun Is Also A Star. She has also worked with Gia Coppola on Palo Alto as well as Mainstream.

Scheduling conflicts with her upcoming directorial debut Flint Strong prevented Morrison from returning to Black Panther. Flint Strong was delayed like so many other movies due to the COVID pandemic.

As we covered already this week, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s production began on Tuesday. The majority of the cast from Black Panther are expected to return. Of course the one notable absentee will be Chadwick Boseman. No one is yet sure how Marvel are pushing ahead to a sequel for Black Panther without Boseman? I’m sure you are already aware that the actor sadly passed away from Cancer last year, at far too young an age for such a thing to happen.

Boseman’s absence will be felt, let’s hope Morrison’s will not as Durald has certainly impressed me on Loki. What do you think of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cinematographer Autumn Durald? Have you been impressed with Durald’s work on Loki so far? What about Durald’s other movies? As always, leave any thoughts below.
