Guardians 3 Start Date And Holiday Special Working Title Revealed [UPDATED]

The latest Barside Buzz is that Marvel are to make more one-off Specials like Werewolf by Night and GOTG Holiday Special.

The Guardians 3 starts date will be at the end of 2021 says star Chris Pratt. We also have information that the Holiday Special working title is ‘Buzzcut’ from Production Weekly. Currently it is assumed that Guardians 3 and the Holiday Special will film at the same time, or one after the other. However, which comes first is not yet known.

UPDATE: James Gunn Has Debunked Buzzcut As Working Title

Original Story Below

First up lets take a look at a recent interview Variety conducted with Chris Pratt for his new movie The Tomorrow War. Pratt was asked when Guardians 3 gets underway and he says towards the end of this year.

Pratt also is asked if he has read the script, which to be fair isn’t really new news. Director James Gunn says the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is pretty much the same as it was before he was temporarily fired by Disney. Asked to describe the script in the words, I think the best Pratt managed was four. ” James Gunn is back”. But yeah, he read it quite some time ago, as did the other Guardians cast members.

As for the Holiday Special, as with all working titles they really tell us nothing. The only real benefit to knowing the WT’s is if there is any location shooting that uses the WT. When we get closer to filming time I’d expect we will find out whether the Holiday Special or Guardians 3 will film first by the working titles. Just as an example.

The next we will see of the majority of the Guardians is in Thor: Love and Thunder. The one exception is likely to be Zoe Saldana as Gamora. However, fans expect that Gamora will return for either the Holiday Special or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

What do you think of the Guardians 3 start date or the Holiday Special working title? As always, leave any thoughts below.
