No Time to Die, the 25th film in the long-running James Bond franchise, has had a lot of very public issues. Before it finally settled on a director, it went through a page-one rewrite with then-director Danny Boyle bringing in his guy to tell a specific story. When that didn’t work out, the studio resorted to a previous draft before bringing in Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge to “punch up” female dialogue. The scribe apparently ended up adding her flavor throughout the entire screenplay.
Now, according to Daily Mail, the studio was so impressed with the work done by Waller-Bridge, that they are already in the process of wooing her to contribute to Bond 26, even though it is still many years away.

“Phoebe’s contribution was great — far greater than we’d anticipated. She’s the saviour of Bond, really,” one source told the outlet. “She was across the entire script.”
It probably helps that Fleabag took home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy series. They may see her as a commodity that will soon be in heavy demand, so may as well commit her now before that happens, right?
I’m always happy when a studio goes back to someone they’ve worked with in the past. It shows a good working relationship and hints at a potentially high-quality product in their previous collaboration — in this case, No Time to Die, which has a lot of pressure on it to be good.
