With just a few days left until Netflix’s original fantasy/real world crossover film Bright is available to stream, a behind-the-scenes featurette for the film has been released. The video feature looks at how some scenes in the film were constructed, such as the convenience store scene in which the production crew built an entire store. Also shown is commentary from the cast and crew, including stars Will Smith and Joel Edgerton, as well as director David Ayer (End of Watch, Suicide Squad).

The film revolves around Smith’s character, Daryl Ward, reluctantly having to partner up with Joel Edgerton’s orc character, Nick Jakoby. The two soon find themselves a search for a very powerful weapon that grants wishes. Also appearing in the film is Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus) as the villain Leilah, who from her pointy ears, I assume is a very badass elf.
Bright looks to be a wonderful mix of a gritty buddy cop drama, and the fantasy world of orcs, fairies, and elves, with Will Smith calling it, “Wildly unique.” Throwing a pretty big wrench in the usual action formula, Bright will give badges to perhaps the oddest odd couple of officers ever seen on screen.
Bright will be available on Netflix December 22.
