Cameron Cuffe Gives Us A Little Insight On The Introduction Of Lobo To Season 2 Of Krypton

SYFY’s Krypton made an exciting announcement at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. For their next season they will be introducing “the main man” Lobo to the series. ComicBook.com had an opportunity to sit with Cameron Cuffe, who plays Superman’s grandfather Seg El and talked a little about how Lobo would factor into the show.

“We’re really excited to work with Lobo because in the comics he’s such a broad character, he’s an almost ridiculous character and like some people would say how’s he going to work with the tone of the show,” Cuffe said. “That’s a challenge we’re really excited to work with and I think Seg’s going to be spending a lot of time with him which will be cool.”

The show definitely has a dark serious tone to it that like Cuffe said would make it challenging to bring the “ridiculous” character to Krypton. But it is interesting that in his comment he said that Seg would “be spending a lot of time with him.” We have seen Lobo go against and work with Superman in the past. We’ll see how he interacts with Seg throughout the series. Cuffe also talked a little bit about when the show picks up.

“So, we do pick up with a little bit of a time jump,” Cuffe said. “It’s about five months after the end of season one. Zod’s taken control of Krypton. He’s instituted his regime. And the funny thing is, with our characters, with where we’ve left off in season one, they’re all in a massive state of flux.”

Krypton is going to be very busy with Zod controlling Krypton, the arrival of Lobo as well as the return of Braniac. Also the debut of the Kryptonian superheroes Nightwing and Flamebird.
