For some actors, being in a Christmas movie is a career highlight. For D.C. Young Fly, he now has a few holiday films under his belt, including the very funny Candy Cane Lane.

DC Young Fly joins the ensemble cast led by Eddie Murphy with Tracee Ellis Ross, Jillian Bell, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Lombardo Boyar, Danielle Pinnock, Timothy Simons, Riki Lindhome, and Stephen Tobolowsky.

Here is the official synopsis:

Eddie Murphy stars in this holiday comedy adventure about a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest. After Chris (Eddie Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper’s spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with DC Young Fly about being in another Christmas-themed film, the decorations, and working with the cast.

DC Young Fly is an Internet personality, comedian, actor, and singer. He was a recurring cast member in the improv comedy Wild ‘N Out and host of the revival of TRL on MTV from 2017 to 2018. He started his career by “roasting celeb” videos on Vine and Instagram. In 2016, he had a small role in Almost Christmas and starred in the lead of the independent film #digitallivesmatter. His other film projects also included She Ball with Nick Cannon, I Got the Hook Up 2 with Master P, and starred Lil Yachty in How High 2. In 2023, it is the host of Celebrity Squares on VH1, a revival of the Hollywood Squares.
