Chapelwaite Executive Producers Bringing This Stephen King Short Story As A Series [Exclusive Interview]

Chapelwaite starring Adrien Brody on Epix

In one of Stephen King’s earliest works, Jerusalem’s Lot is a short story that revisits his second published novel Salem’s Lot. Epix commissioned the short story based on Captain Charles Boone into a full-length 10-episode series.

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in the 1850s, the Chapelwaite follows Captain Charles Boone, who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.

The series stars Adrien Brody as Captain Charles Boone and Emily Hampshire as Rebecca Morgan, an ambitious woman who returned home to write a story for the Atlantic Monthly and applies to be the governess of the Chapelwaite manor.
