The Northman, starring Alexander Skarsgård is an upcoming Viking epic by filmmaker Robert Eggers. Focus Feature just released the final trailer for the film. Initial reviews for the film have been very positive.
The Viking epic draws on the well-known Shakespearean tale, Hamlet, with influences from Norse ancient times. The official synopsis describes the film as an “action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder.”
