Check Out The First Teaser For The Dexter Revival

Well, folks, it’s really happening. Television’s most lovable serial killer is on his way back to the screen. Yes, Dexter Morgan will soon return as one of the most unusual albeit fascinating protagonists to ever appear on the small screen.

We received some casting news not long ago and now we’re treated to as the first teaser for the Dexter. The video doesn’t actually show our beloved sociopath, however, we do get a voiceover from him and it’s quite chilling. You can check it out below.

We last saw Dexter in the series finale back in 2014. He had fled to the Pacific Northwest and became a lumberjack. I understand the idea being suggested as a possible ending, what I don’t understand is how this was the idea that eventually won. I’d be very interested to see the other options that were considered.

While some shows get revived unnecessarily, I am glad we live in this age where the possibility of a show that’s ended can return. In Dexter‘s case, I feel it’s definitely warranted, and I’m pretty excited for Dexter to get another chance. I’m a huge fan of the series and its one I proudly recommend, despite the last two seasons being, hmm, subpar. While the revival won’t erase the end of Season 8, it will give the series another ending, and perhas Dexter’s time in the woods will be reduced to a much smaller part of the story.
