Now that Game of Thrones is over, the cast who played the beloved characters will be moving on to new projects. As you may have heard two members of House Stark Kit Harington and Richard Madden, who played Jon Snow and Rob Stark on HBO‘s wildly popular fantasy series, have been casted in the highly anticipated Marvel film, The Eternals.
Here’s where the, “Hmm, well that’s kind of weird,” comes in. In the third episode of Game of Thrones‘ first season, Jon Snow heads off to the wall to become a member of the Night’s Watch. Rob Stark then tells him, “Next time I see you, you’ll be all in black.”

They never saw each other on the show again, but now that they’ve both been cast in The Eternals it appears as if the above quote has come true. The two will share the screen again in The Eternals, and the character Kit Harington will be playing is Dane Whitman, also known as The Black Knight (’tis but a scratch!), so while it’s not in Westeros, Harington will be in all black the next time Richard Madden sees him.
I just found this to be a cool little coincidence that crossed two universes, and figured some of you might get a kick out of it as well.
