Chris McKay Sorta Gives An Update On NightWing

If you’ve been wondering what is the deal with the long talked about Nightwing film from director Chris McKay, well we have an update, not that it’s going to make you all that excited, however it does provide a bit of comfort.McKay was asked about the film on Twitter yesterday as to whether or not the movie was still happening. You can check out what McKay had to say below.

McKay still seems optimistic that the film will eventually happen. However his tweet also seems to imply that it isn’t going to be anytime soon. it’s also said that DC isn’t fond of having characters appear on both the big and the small screens simultaneously, and Night wing is currently being portrayed by Brendan Thwaites on DC’s live-action Teen Titans adaptation, Titans. Until Mckay gets his project going, fans can enjoy the small screen version of the character.

I have always thought that Nightwing was a much more fitting sidekick for Batman than Robin. Batman’s world is dark and gloomy, Robin showed up with a brightly covered costume that I never really thought fit into his world.

Do you hope to see Nightwing on the big screen someday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
