In a recent interview Chris Pratt says he will return as Star Lord in the MCU, AND says he will join the DCU as well. Pratt last played Star Lord in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, we knew although this Guardians team had finished up, Star Lord would return. I mean, there was a tagline added, which said just that.
There have also been plenty of rumors that Pratt will join James Gunn in the DCU. This is something Pratt confirms is true, though where and when he is not saying. Well, as you can see below, when speaking with ComicBook, Pratt sort of plays coy before saying it will 100% be both.
“Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again,” Pratt said in our interview, which you can check out above. “But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there’s something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let’s do both. I think it’s 100% both.”
It sort of feels to me like some talks have happened already. I wonder if Pratt and Gunn have already discussed possibilities in the DCU for who Pratt could play? If so, we could be looking ant anyone not currently already announced. One would also assume that it will very much depend on the scripts that get greenlit and the directors making those movies.
So, who in the wide world of the new DCU would you like to see Chris Pratt play? Would he be a good Batman, Hal Jordan or someone else?

As for Star Lord, it does beg the question of why and how Peter Quill will return to action, as it were? After all Peter is alive and well and living with his maternal grandfather. However, who knows what could get Pete to suit back up and take on a hero role? Could he have a Star Lord movie? Will Star Lord instead show up in Avengers 5 or Secret Wars? I guess we will have to wait and see for now?
Let us know what you think of his comments as Chris Pratt says he will return as Star Lord in the MCU and join the DCU, eventually? Thoughts below as always.
