The end of Jurassic World 2 left viewers with what could prove to be an interesting setup for what is said to be the final installment of the franchise. Dinosaurs had been let loose, and now appear to roam our civilized world.
Star Chris Pratt recently spoke with MTV and talked about how that premise will play out in the next film. You can check out what he had to say below.
“I can’t say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away. I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Like, ‘Wait what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we can’t put them back in the box. What are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet?’ We jump forward, and it’s like, ‘Oh! Oh, right! Oh, damn!’…it’s going to be pretty epic.”

The film’s director, Colin Trevorrow (who also directed the first film in the franchise) has said that the film won’t depict a world where there are dinosaurs around every corner, but a world where an encounter with a dinosaur is possible. At first I was disappointed by this, but after thinking about it, I am onboard and think it’s the better way to go.
