EA SPORTS has unveiled San Francisco 49ers’ star running back, Christian McCaffrey, as the cover athlete for the highly anticipated Madden NFL 25. The game is set for a worldwide release on August 16, 2024, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the EA app for Windows, Steam®, and Epic Games Store.
McCaffrey, who was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, will grace both the Standard and Deluxe Edition covers of Madden NFL 25. Known for his dynamic and electrifying play, McCaffrey has become a fan favorite, amassing over 450 million touchdowns by Madden NFL 24 players last year, making him the most popular running back in the game.

McCaffrey’s performance last season was nothing short of spectacular. Leading the San Francisco 49ers to Super Bowl LVIII, he recorded an NFL-best 2,023 scrimmage yards and 21 total touchdowns, touching the ball 339 times. He also tied a league record by scoring a touchdown in 17 consecutive games.
“To be on the cover of Madden NFL is a career achievement and an honor I share with all of my teammates, coaches, and 49er Faithful who have helped make it possible,” McCaffrey said. “I’m pumped to get back on the field this year to give Madden players more reasons to keep scoring touchdowns with me in Madden NFL 25.”
