One of cinema’s beloved franchises left so far untouched in the modern era of revivals and reboots is Back to the Future. The first film being in my opinion one of the best of all time, I would be down for another adventure in the BTTF universe.
Actor Christopher Lloyd, who famously portrayed the wild-eyed scientist, Dr. Emmett L. Brown in the film series, recently spoke at the Niagara Falls Comic Con and while Back to the Future 4 is unlikely to happen (Robert Zemeckis is not on board witht he idea), Lloyd gave his opinion on what a fourth film in the franchise should look like, you can check out what he had to say below.
“I think somehow it needs to kind of convey a message about something that’s important to everyone, universally, like climate change. Some way of incorporating whatever fever is going on at the moment into the film and keep the feeling of one, two and three… That’s a tricky, tricky deal. Because you don’t want to do another one and disappoint. So I don’t know. I’d be happy to, for myself. But we’ll see.”

While I can’t remember if it was a fan suggestion, or a leaked bit on information that was at one time actually considered, the best idea I’ve heard for a fourth installment was that upon reentry, Doc collides into a UFO over Roswell, New Mexico, causing the spacecraft to crash, and you can take it from there.
