CinemaCon: Halloween Trailer Gets Mad Praise From Con-Goers

The Halloween franchise has been pretty much dead for years now. However, in recent months, they’ve been teasing the return to its cinematic roots with a film that will act as a sequel to the very first film from decades ago. This movie will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis, and is also backed by the master of horror, John Carpenter.

The first trailer for the film has been screened at CinemaCon, and the reactions are in. So, after all these years, and with slasher movies pretty much falling out of favor with moviegoers, can it actually be the scares? There are some reactions from across the web, and they are pretty darn positive.

So, from the look of it, this new film could actually live up to the legacy of the first one. As stated above, this movie will actually follow the events of the very first movie, and will, therefore, ignore every other Halloween film that’s hit since then. As such, it serves as a second take for the franchise, allowing it to create a film series that doesn’t diminish with every entry.

Of course, it’s just a trailer, and it’s possible to make a great trailer for a bad film, but it’s definitely a great first impression.
