This week is the release of 20th Century Studios’ “Vacation Friends 2” exclusively on Hulu. This is the sequel to the 2021 comedy, “Vacation Friends, ” also a Hulu exclusive film. This buddy comedy features two couples played by Lil Rey Howery & Yvonne Orji and John Cena & Meredith Hagner. They meet on vacation and as different as they are, become friends. The chemistry between the characters was excellent which made for a good time.

Fast forward now to 2023, and we have the sequel “Vacation Friends 2”. Now that we know the characters it’s interesting to see how they continue to develop in different situations. For example, how does Marcus deal with Ron and Kyla in a situation where his job is on the line? Or are Ron and Kyla any different now that they have a baby?

With the release of “Vacation Friends 2” LRM Online‘s Manny Gomez spoke with writer and director of the film, Clay Tarver. During the interview, we chat about the chemistry between the cast and how their personalities were expanded in this sequel. Tarver also gives his thoughts on the wild card character, Reese, Kyla’s father, that is played by Steve Buscemi, and how he adds a wildcard element to the film. Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this hilarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus and Emily inviting their uninhibited besties Ron and Kyla, who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort.
