It has been a ruff year with most of us being stuck at home. But if we are going to take positives out of our at-home situation is that we have gotten to spend a lot more time with our pets. Well, I’m sure that the dogs enjoy it, not too sure about the cats. Speaking of dogs Paramount Pictures is ready to bring one of our favorite larger-than-life dogs to a live-action adaptation, Clifford the Big Red Dog. Clifford the Big Red Dog is directed by Walt Becker. Screenplay by Jay Scherick & David Ronn and Blaise Hemingway. Screen story by Justin Malen and Ellen Rapaport. These of course based on the classic Scholastic Book series that goes by the same name by Norman Bridwell. It also featured a fun PBS Kids animated series. The film is produced by Jordan Kerner, p.g.a lole Lucchese. Executive producers Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, Valerii An, Brian Bell, Caitlin Friedman, Deborah Forte, and Lisa Crnic.

When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!

The cast for the film includes Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp, Tony Hale, Sienna Guillory, David Alan Grier, Russell Wong, and John Cleese.

Clifford has been a part of many kids’ childhood. What kid wouldn’t want a giant big red dog as their pet? Parents that’s who! It looks like it is going to be a fun movie.
