Cobra Kai Executive Producer Jon Hurwitz Says A Season 2 Teaser Is Coming Our Way

One of last year’s more pleasant surprises was Cobra Kai, the revival of the classic 80s film, The Karate Kid. The continuation of the franchise came in the form of an 10 episode television series produced by YouTube Red. For those of us thta grew up in the 80s, the series came with a hearty helping of nostalgia, and allowed us to see what had become of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.

In my opinion Cobra Kai is easily the best content to come from YouTube Red, and it wasn’t long before the series was given a second season, which seemed inevitable considering in the popularity of the show.

According to Cobra Kai execituve producer Jon Hurwitz a teaser for the upcoming season isn’t far off, though an exact date was not revealed. In a series of tweets, which you can check out below, Hurwitz revealed the Season 2 episode count, exclusive scenes at Season 2 screenings, his confidence on a third season and plans for future seasons.

The first season of Cobra Kai showed us different sides of the characters from the films. People seen that Johnny Lawrence has the ability to not be a dick, and that Daniel LaRusso can be one. The lines between protagonist and antagonist are not so clearly drawn anymore, which can make for a much more interesting story.
