Cobra Kai Gets The Honest Trailer Treatment

Cobra Kai recently premiered its third season, and today the ScreenJunkies (while hilariously roasting themselves) gave the Netflix series the honor of receiving the Honest Trailer entry. An episode of the brilliant YouTube series that is longer than most, coming in around nine minutes, was another solid entry to be sure. A YouTube bit that pokes fun at films and television series takes aim at a television series that at least in some ways, pokes fun at itself. You can check it out below.

Here there be spoilers, ye be warned.

Doesn’t this one almost feel a bit mean? Kind of, right? I know this is sort of the idea of what an Honest Trailer is suppose to be, but, you know what, it’s probably just me. I grew up in the 80s so this series is a big helping of nostalgia for me. While many wouldn’t have thought there was very much left untold in this story, the series proves with the right people a beloved classic film, can find a special place in the hearts of a new generation.

While I do enjoy the series, the brawl a Casa LaRusso was brutal, and by that, I mean hard to watch. I’m not sure what it was, I don’t wanna say it looked too, fake, but it didn’t look very real to me either. However, the Larusso, Lawrence, Kreese battle at the end of Season 3 was far better.
