According to the latest Barside Buzz actor Colman Domingo is rumored to be in the running for the Kang recast in the MCU. As I’m sure everyone is well aware by now, former incumbent Jonathan Majors was fired by Disney following the actor being found guilty of assault charges. It is not guaranteed that Marvel will recast the role of Kang. However, it seems the easiest solution to their problems.
Now scooper Daniel RPK has said on his Patreon he’s heard one name being looked at (amongst other candidates) is Colman Domingo. Domingo has credits to his name including Fear the Walking Dead and Lincoln. He is also substantially older than Majors at 54 years old, which may be beneficial to selling the change. Especially if The Beyonder is a Kang variant as rumored? Domingo is 20 years senior to Majors and if Marvel are looking at him, it’s likely that’s the age they want.
I have not seen Domingo, but I’ve heard people who have say that he is a good actor. You can see an image of Colman in the social media post below covering RPK‘s claim.

As said though by RPK, it is likely Colman is not the only actor Marvel are looking at. We’ve heard rumors previously (see above) that The Beyonder as the big bad will allow for a Kang recast. However I would still expect to see less Kang going forward that we would have if Majors hadn’t been a naughty boy.
Some other Avengers 5 rumors were drifting about over the New Year. However, nothing solid enough to post as a claim from a source.
One thing that does seem likely is that what used to be called The Kang Dynasty is dead. The movie is now being retooled as more of a Secret Wars part 1. For now though, we will refer to it as simply Avengers 5.
