Another film, television show, comic book, statement brings yet another group that is offended by something. In this day and age it seems like everything that gets released is soon followed by an angry group of people that want it changed or removed. We have seen it with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Game of Thrones, and Good Omens just to name a few. The latest victim of internet rage? Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4.

According to Newsweek who first posted the story, a group named One Million Moms is calling for a boycott of Toy Story 4 over something that happens in the background of the film. During the film Woody’s new owner Bonnie is dropped off at school. Behind her, two women are shown dropping off another girl and then later picking her up and giving her a hug. It’s important to note that no further clues are given as to what the relationship of the two women is in the film, but it was enough to trigger this group.

In their statement they mention that “The scene is subtle in order to to desensitize children. But it is obvious that the child has two mothers, and they are parenting together.” Later it mentions that, “So many families probably plan on seeing this movie if they haven’t already and will be blindsided by this subtle but obvious promotion of the LGBTQ lifestyle.”

This isn’t the first time that this organization has protested. They also came after Steven Universe, The Powerpuff Girls and PBS’s Arthur for their support of the LGBT community. As far as Disney is concerned, this wouldn’t be the first time that they have inserted LGBT nods into their films as they have also done it in films like Frozen and Beauty and the Beast.

We live in a very large world with a wide variety of entertainment. The most important thing we can all do if respect others opinions and beliefs. If something offends you, then just turn it off and move on to something else. Don’t go around trying to shove your agenda down everyone’s throat. If you really think about it, you can honestly complain about almost every show, movie and book.
