Constantine To Appear On CW’s Legends Of Tomorrow

This week will be the Season premiere of CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. The Hollywood Reporter had an interview with Phil Klemmer, showrunner for the superhero shows Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. The Legends team looks to travel back to key moments in the past as well as in the future and interact with characters like P.T. Barnum and Julius Caesar to once again save time. In that list of characters there was also the mention of a fan favorite supernatural character who will be making his return to television, Constantine. According to Klemmer, Constantine will be appearing in episode 310 and will even encounter the big bad of this season, the rest of the details can be read in the quote below:

“As for the character of Constantine, we knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends,” Klemmer says. “His appearance in episode 310 will involve the following: a revisiting of Arrow season four and the events following that season’s finale episode; a confrontation with this season’s Big Bad on Legends — the name we’ve only heard whispered until now Mallus; some hot sex — something that has been in short supply on the Waverider thus far in season three; and Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough), because how can you do an episode about dark magic and not have Damien Darhk? More than anything, the episode promises to be scary as you know what — tonally it’s The Exorcist meets One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Demonic possession in a mental institution, what’s not to love?”

Constantine, played by Matt Ryan, was featured in his own television show on NBC that premiered in 2014 but that was cancelled after thirteen episodes. He later showed up again in the fourth season of Arrow to help Oliver Queen. Since then fans have been looking for the CW to add the Justice League Dark character to one of their shows. Ryan will also voicing his character in the CW Seed animated series Constantine that will debut on the digital platform early next year. Are you excited to see him back on television?

Legends of Tomorrow premieres Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
