Crunchyroll Unleashes Anime Extravaganza For Anime NYC 2023

Anime fans are in for a treat as Crunchyroll, the global hub for anime enthusiasts, is set to take over the entire 45,000 square feet of the Javits Center River Pavilion during this year’s Anime NYC, which runs from November 17 to 19. This unprecedented anime takeover promises to deliver an immersive and unforgettable experience for attendees.

For the entire duration of Anime NYC, Crunchyroll is pulling out all the stops to transport badge holders into a world of thrilling interactive attractions, awe-inspiring panels, and exclusive premieres, with even more surprises yet to be unveiled.

Upon entering the Javits Center, the anime excitement kicks off in earnest. Attendees can make their way to the Crunchyroll Stage at the River Pavilion, where they’ll have the opportunity to witness world-renowned Japanese creators discussing their works and offering sneak peeks and premieres for highly anticipated titles like Metallic Rouge, Sengoku Youko, Sasaki and Peeps, and many more. Movie buffs are also in for a treat as they can settle in for the world premiere of “My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Movie.” The Crunchyroll Stage is also set to showcase over ten premieres of upcoming anime series, including BARTENDER Glass of God, Classroom of the Elite Season 3, The Witch and the Beast, and more. Fans can even look forward to going behind the scenes of fan-favorite series like “The Rising of the Shield Hero” and “Dr. STONE.”

In addition to the Crunchyroll Stage, attendees can continue their exploration of Crunchyroll’s grand anime celebration by checking out immersive activations specially designed for fans. Those who are drawn to dark fantasy will find themselves immersed in the “JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience,” where they can relive the gripping moments from the hit series. Meanwhile, fans can also delve into the “NUMB Art Exhibit,” a new and original work by Takashi Okazaki, the renowned author of “Afro Samurai.” And for those looking to capture lasting memories of their Anime NYC experience, anime-themed photo ops featuring “SPY x FAMILY” and more are available for badge holders.

Anime enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Crunchyroll Store, offering a treasure trove of over 50 items, including exclusive poster prints for “Cowboy Bebop” and new FiGPiNs for Loid Forger from “SPY x FAMILY,” Tanjiro from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” and Super Saiyan Caulifla from “Dragon Ball Super.” Anime NYC attendees will also have one of the earliest chances to snag items from the newly launched Cat-Eyed Boy x Deadmau5 collection.

No convention experience would be complete without swag, and Crunchyroll has you covered. Crunchyroll members and their guests are invited to test their skills at the Premium Member Arcade presented by Crunchyroll Games, with exciting prizes up for grabs. Additionally, there will be free swag for everyone, including exclusive items for Crunchyroll Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan members.

Crunchyroll Games is also carving out a space for fans to explore the expansive worlds of three titles. From Crunchyroll Games and Perfect World, the creators behind “Tower of Fantasy,” comes “One Punch Man: World,” an online action game based on the popular anime series. Aspiring heroes can try out the game on PC and score some fantastic swag, including branded hairpins and Saitama masks, with a chance to win a premium “One Punch Man: World” prize pack. World Warriors can step into the ring to demo “Street FighterTM: Duel,” a mobile RPG adventure set in the legendary “Street FighterTM” franchise. For fans of fantasy action RPGs, “The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden” will transport Anime NYC attendees into the universe of the popular light novel and anime series “The Eminence in Shadow.”

Crunchyroll Premium Members will receive exclusive perks in the River Pavilion, including special discounts on merchandise, access to lounge areas, and preferred seating at the Crunchyroll Stage.

To celebrate the iconic space western “Cowboy Bebop,” Crunchyroll has joined forces with The Town Hall to present the “COWBOY BEBOP 25th Anniversary Concert – The Music Feat. The Sinfonietta.” This one-of-a-kind audiovisual experience, taking place on Thursday, November 16, will pair iconic scenes from the series with symphonic renditions of Yoko Kanno’s “Cowboy Bebop” soundtrack, featuring beloved tracks like “Tank!” and “The Real Folk Blues.” The eclectic soundtrack will be performed by The Sinfonietta, an acclaimed all-woman and majority women-of-color orchestra led by conductor Macy Schmidt. Tickets for this event will be available starting Wednesday, October 18.
