Crunchyroll’s Night of Live Music Featuring Hiroyuki SAWANO Coming To Anime NYC

Anime NYC, the largest Anime convention on the east coast is coming in just a few weeks, November 17th-19th to be exact. It’s like that other big Anime convention but with more pizza and bagels… Because it’s New York City. Anyways, Crunchyroll is “powering” Anime NYC this year, and they’ve announced musical artists for the event’s big concert, Crunchyroll’s Night of Live Music.

Who are they? Well, let’s use the Crunchyroll provided information to let you know:

Hiroyuki SAWANO

Hiroyuki SAWANO mainly writes music for visual purposes, such as dramas, anime, and movies. He is a vigorous worker who also writes and arranges songs for other artists. He launched SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] (pronounced “Sawano Hiroyuki nu-zeek”) in spring 2014, a project mainly focusing on vocal-oriented tunes.

About SennaRin

SennaRin, who intrigues people with her distinct, deep and throaty voice, is a multi-talented singer who also writes lyrics and creates illustrations. She made her major debut on April 13, 2022 with the EP “Dignified”, produced by composer Hiroyuki Sawano, who has created many musical pieces of popular works such as the anime “Attack on Titan” and “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” to name a few. She sang the theme songs for “Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These – Collision” and “BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War”.

About Survive Said The Prophet

Survive Said The Prophet, commonly known as “SABAPURO”, was formed in Tokyo, Japan in 2011. As a native English speaker / bilingual vocalist, Yosh leads the band with his overwhelming singing ability and charisma. SABAPURO is a miraculous international rock band that consists of talented musicians and unique personalities. Their outstanding musicality is based on their vast musical backgrounds, including but not limited to rock, pop, electro, hip hop, and R&B. to place their field of activities in various fields using its diversity as a weapon that doesn’t fit in the frame of an existing scene and continues to evolve every day.

About Cö shu Nie

Cö shu Nie is an experimental rock band from Japan. Members Miku Nakamura (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Manipulator) and Shunsuke Matsumoto (Bass), combine crisp vocals and chaotic sounds. They draw from varied influences to create a unique blend of jazz, R&B and electro pop-inspired experimental rock. The band was known on the indie scene but found global success in 2018, when their song ‘asphyxia’ was selected by renowned manga artist, Sui Ishida, for the opening theme song to his series ‘Tokyo Ghoul : re.’ They have had 4 further anime TV syncs including PSYCHO-PASS and The Promised Neverland, which have helped drive over 55 million views of their artistic videos, 118 million Spotify plays, and Spotify Viral chart appearances in 10 countries (Chile, France, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, Thailand). Their single ‘Give It Back’ is the end song to popular anime comic book adaptation JUJUTSU KAISEN exceeding 10M streams. When and Where?

You can catch the artists on the Crunchyroll stage at the River Pavilion on November 17th for a panel, hosted by Chris Han. This panel will start at 5:45pm ET and offer guests a chance to hear directly from the artists and their work on popular Anime.

Crunchyroll’s Night of Live Music is Saturday at the same place as the panel. Set times have not been announced, but doors are expected to open around 6pm ET. However, stay tuned to Anime NYC’s information page for specifics and updates!
