According to the latest Barside Buzz Dafne Keen was approached pre-strikes for a Deadpool 3 return as X23, plus we have more Wolverine rumors regarding the sequel. The X23 rumor comes from insider CWGST and given all we’ve heard about this movie it would not be too far fetched. The insider says not to expect a major role, more of a cameo appearance. Sources have newly confirmed that Marvel went into negotiations with Dafne Keen right before the strikes started to bring her back as a grown up Laura Kinney/#X23 in #Deadpool3.

As you’ll recall a much younger Keen got her big break playing X23 in Logan. Since then Keen has gone on to some big roles including the lead in the HBO/BBC adaptation of His Dark Materials which was excellent. Honestly, I would not be against Keen coming in as the MCU version of Wolverine, but I’m not sure that would be the right decisions for the studio to make. Not unless there’s also a Logan in the mix. You know how some fans get about gender swapping characters right now, perhaps that’s noise Marvel just doesn’t need.

As for the rest of the rumors? This one comes from originally from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. However, it was then back up by MTTSH, who some people claim is the same person as CWGST, but I have no interest in that drama.

According to RPK (first claim), Deadpool will be on the quest to find the perfect Wolverine across the Multiverse and concludes you cannot recast Hugh Jackman. Check it out.

One could easily connect both is these rumors together. In one Universe certainly, where Logan is dead, there’s only X23. I guess the question would be, what other crazy Wolverine alt versions might we see? Marvel could really have some fun with this and who they decide to bring in. Theoretically, Marvel could also use the person they want to take over as the Wolverine of the MCU. That’s if we get there eventually, which we have to surely?

Again, I’ll say I would have no issue with that MCU version being X23, but I can’t see it.
