While we’ve all seen it, and it was initially interesting, none of us fans really bought into the “Dark Rey” we seen in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker TV spot. While we can’t be sure until the film is released, it’s all but certain the Rey gone Dark Side we see in that video is from a vision, probably like the one Luke had on Degobah.

Even though it most likely won’t be “real”, the actress who plays Rey, Daisy Ridley enjoyed acting out the darker side of her character, check out what she had to say on the matter while speaking with

“It’s fun to play someone’s best version, and then the worst. It’s an amazing thing to do as an actress, but we can’t do it often. […] I felt very good. That’s the most I can say, unfortunately.”

Something along these lines is sort of what I wished would have happened in The Last Jedi, with Rey and Kylo switching sides of the Force, this would have been a good way to subvert expectations.
