Coming off his very successful adaptation of the beloved graphic novel, Watchmen, Damon Lindelof has expressed interest in playing in some other, very well-known spaces. The man who helmed one of network television’s greatest shows in LOST, now wants to play within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and sometime in the future, in a galaxy far, far away.
While there apparently won’t be a second season of Watchmen, much to the disma of the show’s fans, Lindelof recently spoke with ComingSoon.net and you can check out what he had to say below.
“I think that doing something in the Marvel universe, anywhere in the Marvel Universe, would be really potentially exciting for me, especially as they start to get a little bit more experimental. Some of the things that I’ve seen for ‘WandaVision,’ for example, just feel like, ‘Okay, now we’re getting somewhere.’ Particularly in a television space.”

“And, at some point, but certainly not in the immediate future, I feel like I would love to do something in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. Maybe a decade from now when I would no longer be blamed for ruining it. That would be a hoot.”
I have complete faith that Lindelof would do quite well in either of these spaces, but would steer him toward the television platform and away from the big screen. Lindelof has found success in many television projects such as the aforementioned Watchmen, LOST, as well as The Leftovers.
If I were Kevin Feige or Kathleen Kennedy, I would at the very least have Lindelof on the list of top prospects to bring into either the MCU or a galaxy far, far away.
