Daniel Craig is not James Bond. He just plays one on TV. We’re sure by now that, as fans of Bond, you’ve been able to notice that Craig is nothing like his super-spy counterpart. James Bond has always been a suave, violent, womanizer, who’s pretty much guaranteed to hop in the sack with at least a couple women in each film.
If you haven’t noticed, Craig’s bond has skewed more towards the brutish and demented lately, and less towards the womanizer aspect. Speaking with People, Craig stated that it was an intentional move on his part.
“I’ve been trying to do that gently for the past four movies and I’ll continue to do that.”

Spectre saw a move in that direction when (gasp) his character slept with Monica Bellucci’s — someone who is not some twenty or thirty-something! Back when an interviewer in 2015 stated that him hooking up with Bellucci was an example of him falling for the charms of an “older woman,” he responded famously:
“I think you mean the charms of a woman his own age. We’re talking about Monica Bellucci, for heaven’s sake. When someone like that wants to be a Bond girl, you just count yourself lucky!”
How do you feel about Craig intentionally moving away from the more womanizing aspects of the characters? Do you think that aspect of a character has a place in this franchise going forward? Let us know your thoughts down below!
