Daredevil And Kingpin Set To Appear In Echo | Barside Buzz

Vincent D'Onofrio teases fans with potential Devils Reign story connections in Daredevil: Born Again.

The live-action Marvel Universe has grown significantly since its inception on Disney+.  From favorites like Falcon, Loki, and Wanda Maximoff to newcomers like Kate Bishop, Sylvie, and Kamala Khan the universe has grown significantly in a short period of time.  With all these new characters there still is a group of Marvel characters trying to find their place in the new universe. A group of those characters is the fan favorites from the Netflix Defender series, more notably Daredevil and Kingpin.

Last year’s Hawkeye on Disney+ brought back Clint Barton and Yelena Belova plus introduced us to Kate Bishop and Maya Lopez.  The biggest character, figuratively and literally, to make an appearance in the series though was the return of Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio.  This was a big shock to a lot of fans of the Netflix shows because it opened the door of having some of their favorite characters return, not named Iron Fist though.

The last we see of the Kingpin he was staring down a loaded barrel held by Maya Lopez and then off-screen we hear a gunshot.  Now everyone who watches movies knows that unless you see the character actually die in the scene then more than likely they are still alive.

The next show to feature characters from Hawkeye will be Echo which will star Alaqua Cox in the lead role.  That is pretty much all we know about the show but some rumors are starting to come out.  The biggest speculation/rumor is that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will make an appearance in the show.

It appears thanks to a new rumor, we may now know how much Daredevil and Kingpin we should expect in Echo.

Thanks to the folks at Weekly Planet, during the Hot Scoop or a Shot of Poop segment, James Clement gave a clear picture of how many episodes Daredevil will appear in and what suit he will be wearing.

“Yep, Daredevil is in it for three episodes, as in Charlie Cox. Kingpin, Vinnie D’Onofrio is in four. The Kingpin storyline is building up to him running for mayor of New York City. Apparently, he’s going to be wearing an eye patch because he was shot in the head in Hawkeye… Daredevil is also going to be rocking a red and black suit and is looking for Jessica Jones.”

This news sounds awesome and it might possibly tie-in to the Daredevil: Back In Black comic series. With more news coming out in the future and the possibility of more characters appearing in the series could Echo lead to the beginning of Secret Invasion like New Avengers #31.
